Schematic diagram of the electron–hole recombination and coupling mechanism between
LSPs and excitons in SiNx. The interaction between LSPs and excitons can be treated as a two-step process: (1)
the excitons transfer their energies to the LSP modes; (2) the energy from the LSP
mode out-couples to radiated photons.
