The density of states (34) in the quantum well location z = z₀ for higher energies 0 ≤ E ≤ 100 eV. The binding energy, mass and color coding are the same as in Figure 4. The full density of states (34) approximates the three-dimensional behavior for energies E ≫ B, but there remains a finite offset compared to ϱ_{d = 3} due to the presence of the quantum well.
