Optical extinction spectra of colloid solutions with Pd (dashed line) and Pt NPs (full
line). The peak at 280 nm is caused by surface plasmon resonance in Pd NPs. The peak at
265 nm is caused by surface plasmon resonance in Pt NPs. The peak at 230 nm is caused
by absorption in the surfactant AOT organic compound.
