Further analysis has revealed that I made errors in this article! Apparently it is too late to change the published work, but I can comment on my errors: 1) Figure 3 and the associated comments are totally incorrect. The Maxwell-Garnett model CAN INDEED give results which agree with the experimental and Rayleigh��s theory calculations. Please used M-G theory for nanofluids without hesitation - it is a good theory! 2) The legends of figure 5 and figure 6 are mistyped. There is a volume fraction versus % volume fraction confusion. In fig. 5 it should read Ag - 0.4% and Cu - 0.04%. In figure 6, it should read Al - 0.1%. 3) Eqs. 10-12 in the paper are mistyped - please use reference 29. Deepest apologies for any confusion or inconvenience my mistakes may have caused! Rob Taylor
